Startup Safary is going to be the largest startup event this year in Berlin. It does not have a location, instead it's taking place in over 100 offices of Berlin tech and startup companies throughout the day. It's a new type of event that can accomodate both industry professionals and average users while offering them a curated experience through hundreds of office events happening on a single day.
Little Sun – a work of art that works in life
Little Sun is at once a global project, a social business and a work of art. The project’s high-quality solar-powered lamp in the form of a yellow hand-sized sun was developed in 2012 by world renowned artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen as a way to get clean, affordable light to the 1.6 billion people worldwide without electricity.
Little Suns allow people living outside the electrical grid to work, socialise, study, cook, and extend their daily activities into the night without using unsafe unhealthy and expensive kerosene lamps, a common off-grid light source. So far, Little Sun has distribution in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Burundi and Senegal as well as in the EU and US, having sold a total of 65,000 lamps and with 50,000 more lamps being delivered in April/May.

Ohrka.de ist das erste Jederzeit-Hörmedium für Kinder, das zahlreiche Hörbücher, Hörspiele und lange Reportagen kostenlos, werbefrei und in hoher Qualität anbietet. Exklusiv für Ohrka-Aufnahmen haben sich zum Beispiel Anke Engelke, Katharina Thalbach, Oliver Rohrbeck oder Stefan Kaminski ins Tonstudio begeben. Boris Borchert und Michael Schulte, zwei Gründer des gemeinnützigen Berliner Vereins OHRKA e.V., stellen das Online-Angebot vor, das im September 2012 gestartet ist und bereits 50 Hörstunden umfasst.
